In her music, the artist and producer Smittness combines the minimalism of early wave music with melodies that could also have appeared in pop anthems of the 80s.
Synthesizers, drum machines, vocals that are clear on the one hand and echoed on the other embrace harmonic dissonances and form the basis for her experimental soundscape.
At times charmingly dark, one is enveloped by an aura of the mysterious.
Smittness has released two singles so far, 'Disposition' (self-released) and 'Peppermint' (2019/ 76666).
With her first "real" release, she is still keeping a low profile, but you can already listen to a few tracks live or via the links.
